  "This is an average hotel with friendly folks. It's not the Ritz but for the night before surgery it's fine. There are many places to eat nearby, the Wal-Mart is down the street if you've forgotten something and it's only a 2-3 minute drive to the hospital."

  "My family rented all 3 rooms in the hotel for a wedding. The place has been nicely renovated and has maintained the rustic charm of the building. We found the accommodations to be as nice as described. There is a large refrigerator with drinks and a microwave in the kitchen area. It was fun to have ..."the entire place to ourselves. My only complaint was on the day we were to check out. Check out time is 11 a.m. But the cleaning ladies arrived at 10 a.m. and started knocking on our door asking if we were still sleeping. One of them stated to one of our family members that she needed to get in our rooms to clean because she needed to get to her other job. That was kind of annoying! But otherwise it was a nice stay.   "i used this room in March of 2013 for two evaluators my company used for our certification. They loved it. It is rustic clean & perfectly located in downtown Monroe. You can walk to all the shops in Downtown or just walk downstairs for some pizza."
