  "My partner and I went on a 5-day/3 B&B trip in Maine. And our first night at Inn on Carleton is hands-down the best, setting the par too high for our remaining B&Bs to beat! It was impressive right from the reservation. We needed to change our reservation due to the late opening of Acadia Park. ..."Buddy helped us and the email confirmation was sent right away and a phone call to follow. We had to arrive late and I called Buddy on the way. Buddy cheerfully estimated the time of our arrival and told us the room key will be awaiting us at the counter. We drove through a hoppin'-neighborhood before we approached the Inn, which is on a one-way street and very quiet. Though the on-site parking was all taken, we were able to find a street parking (one can park till 11 AM) nearby. The place is classic and welcoming.   "I was really hesitant about reserving rooms here. Often my tastes don't agree with others; especially when it comes to restaurants. I held my breath and proceeded to make reservations here and I couldn't have been more pleased. Yes, it's true the property is getting a bit old but it's VERY clean ..."and the staff does a great job. We had a problem with our TV reception and complained, thinking that we would be told that it's just their satelite reception and nothihng could be done....but instead, within minutes of our call they replaced the TV with a brand new one and solved the problem. The front desk staff was helpful with any question posed to them...the maids were quick and efficient in cleaning. As an added bonus there is a new restaurant attached to the hotel; The Egg & I, which not only serves breakfast but delivers to your room for just pennies more than the restraunt price.
