The villa rates are considerably less off season than in high season and the rates are determined by the number of guests, not the usual full price of a rental regardless of the number of occupants. The web page notes the sliding scale fee during different times of the year. We were with cousins, one of whom is a professional chef and has written cook books and by preparing and eating most dinners at the villa, we found our stay to be quite affordable. Just to call Mas d’Arvieux as a "bed and breakfast" does not give enough credit to this chateaux with a warm swimming pool and a nice garden surrounded by olive trees, lavender fields and further by pastures of farm animals (cute donkey families were so adorable that I had so stop every time we were driving by to take more pictures) We were staying not in the rooms of the chateau itself but in a self-catering "Pigeonnier" cottage with a kitchen of which we made quite a good use during our vacation week last October.
