But I digress away from the Inn which was very comfortable. Cookies and always available coffee, tea or hot chocolate. There is a TV in one of the common rooms but we did not have a need to use it. Wireless Internet was available as well asa movie library that you could use on yopur PC if you wanted. Breakfast, included, was excellent and their morning chef Mary prpared two hot dishes daily (one egg and one a crepe/pancake/french toast/pancake dish) and there was plenty of cold items availoable on a buffet tabl...   "Great bed and breakfast for a winter ski weekend!"
  "We just got back from a 'ski and stay' weekend at the Colby Hill Inn in Henniker and we thought it was terrific! We went with another couple and skiied at Pat's Peak and Colby Hill in is very conveniently located to the mountain. The rooms were clean and the service was great. Everyone was help..."ful and pleasant, from the desk staff to the wait staff to the owner. Fresh chocolate chip and oatmeal raisin cookies were always available, as was tea and coffee. Their common room overlooked several bird feeders and lovely trees out back. We had fun watching the dozens of birds in the morning and enjoying watching the snow fall both in the morning and in the evening. Lovely and relaxing. We stayed in the least expensive rooms, which we very nice. Somewhat small, but each had enough space (chair, desk, dresser, closet, etc.) to spread out our things for the weekend.   "We chose the Henniker House because it was close to where we were going. It was exactly what I expected a New England B&B to be. Kate corresponded with us through email before our arrival. Since we knew we would need slippers to wear while in the house, I just "had to" buy new slippers for me and my..." husband. It was actually nice taking off our shoes at the front door and putting on our slippers. It gave it that "homey" feeling. And after seeing the carpet in our car, I understand why there is the slipper rule. We stayed in the River Room which I think was the nicest room. It was very comfortable and pretty quiet. We looked out onto the river. The town of Henniker is very quaint. There were several great places to eat and it is very easy to drive to nearby towns.
