On the saturday the rain was very heavy, we were soaked and the only criticism room, the drying room was useless, no heat, dirty and not fit for purpose, for a walking hotel not really good enough! Overall a great location for the north lakes, avoid the Grange Tea rooms in the village, over priced, unfriendly and awful food. " More >

Perfect staff, friendly fellow guests and even great weather to greet us and this provided for a really enjoyable few days. Cannot praise the management and staff enough also, for their further efforts to enhance the exterior of the property. Can't wait for another visit and can recommend this hotel to anyone wanting a little more from their stay. Certainly not the cheapest place in the area, but you certainly get what you pay for.   "We have just enjoyed a lovely anniversary at The Lodore. We booked through secret escapes and throughly enjoyed it. We arrived early but our room was ready and we were upgraded to the tower suite. room was gorgeous and view fantastic, my husband had phoned ahead and got me flowers wine and chocolate..."s in the room. Clean and spaceous we had a shower and stand alone bath with seperate toilet. We enjoyed a cream scone in the lounge, then it went for a swim and had a lovely relaxing glass of wine in the outdoor hot tub(bliss). After changing it was soon time for our evening meal, could not fault anything food fantastic staff and service great. We then enjoyed cocktails in the garden before retiring for the night. Breakfast next morning was also lovely, my husband had a omelette which he said was the best he had ever had. All the staff were very friendly and helpful and made us feel special.
