Had a rough patch last year when an issue arose and then mgt promised to compensate (after reading my reviews, requesting me to update them, which I did) then never followed through. This year when booking on the national line, ..." i brought up the issue at the end which I was pleased to find the agent had alerted the Suites. Upon arrival in Ohio I received a phone call requesting details prior to my checking in. Once there, Simon, whom was great last year with all the craziness of huge groups checking in late, contacted the manager to go over details. Edson followed through admirably as he said he would. As always all staff on the ground exceeded expectations. The restaurant , fitness center, desk personnel, shift managers perfect. The only less than 5 stars I could give this review revolves around a minor disappointment with the spa / pool area being renovated. I love a spa after a workout. " More >

  "We stayed at the hotel twice in one week on our to-and-fro legs of a road trip to Indianapolis. I chose it because we'd never been to Cuyahoga Falls, and because it's a Carlson Hotel, which to me means consistency and a top-notch staff. We were not disappointed. The hotel is typical mid-range, but..." far cleaner than average. Both suites we had were spotless and well-appointed. Not elaborate, but comfortable and roomy enough for our purposes. The suite has a small walled-off bedroom space, which is what differentiates it from a standard room. At first I thought the space might be too small and a bit claustrophobic, but that turned out not to be the case. The first one did have a loud a/c unit which I wound up switching off during the night, but I'm a very light sleeper and often have noise issues. By the time we made the return trip, I was more adapted and didn't even notice the noise. The pool and hot tub were sparkling clean and pleasant. There is no restaurant, but breakfast ... " More >

  "The rooms and views were great and a surprise. I really appreciated the ability to get points for going "green" and not having service. What I found unacceptable is that on our two night stay, turning away all service to be green - they somehow tried to charge me for the expensive in room water. No ..."one came in the room to be able to put that in the system. Just makes me question whether they charge for the heck of it or not. They reversed the charge but I had to point out this fact to convince the woman at checkout. " More >
