We were stuffed. Jim even said a prayer and some scripture verses before the meal. Very nice. My two teenaged daug..."hters loved helping Jim feed the goats and sheep, collect eggs (finding a green one) and going on a hayride to the neighboring dairy farm. The girls had so much fun they didn't want to leave and go to Gettysburg for the day. The next night and morning the house was packed with guests. Still a wonderful breakfast. The rooms are quaint and comfortable. I was surprised they had wi-fi and tv. I was hoping to escape that being on the farm. We had so much fun just sitting on the porch and enjoying the animals, even the new kittens, we didn't even use the tv. Highly recommend the home away from home. " More >

The rooms we booked were all different, each with its own uniqueness, lovely antiques, with comfortable beds. We had a wonderful time there and were treated well by the innkeepers and staff. I would recommend renting the entire inn for a big event. ( wedding would be great here) There were a few other guests at the Inn while we were there that didn't appreciate us making noise at 10:15 pm. We were really only talking with maybe a little laughter, but were passing by their room where they were " trying to sleep."   "I started going to Rocky Acre Farm around three years ago. The first time we went we were with my family who had been going here for many years and still absolutely loved it. Ever since then we have been going every single year more than once a year. It still is incredibly enjoyable and have so many..." fun things to do. Last time we went, my cousin and I went kayaking down the river and attempted to fly a kite off the back off the golfcart. We have had so many great memories here and hope to have many more. We always have a wonderful time here and have made friends with returning guests here and some of the staff that have worked at the farm for many years. They are very nice, helpful, and are always up for a good laugh. We will be coming back here this year and the next and hopefully many more. Rocky Acre does have many guests wanting to get a spot for a weekend so if you want to stay here, you have to book a couple weeks in advance, but as soon as you do that, you get dibs on the same r...
