The scenery at China Beach is quite spectacular: the cottages are tucked between the hill and the Bay: very peaceful and what a view! That night we had dinner in the Shelburne Inn restaurant: Great service by a very knowledgeable waiter.   "My husband and I stayed overnight in the Boles Aero travel trailer. It was super clean and nice and quiet. The bed was incredibly comfortable! The entire complex was very charming and all of the extra amenities (the store, bicycles, camp fire, etc.) made it even more charming."

We hiked and explored during the day and came back to our vintage home. We dressed each evening for dinner and felt as though we had stepped into that by gone era of ladies and gentlemen. Even the music was pre 1950s. The dinners were so wonderful, one evening we had a whimsical contest to determine who had the cleanest plate; no frenchman would leave any sauce and neither would we.
