The rooms were clean and well maintained and the grounds were very nice with chairs down by the river and up on the 2nd level porch to take in the view. The staff was very helpful and friendly and made us feel very welcome. We have 2 you..."ng kids (1 and 3) which I mentioned when I made the reservation. This was a slow time of year so they put us in a room without any neighbors (without my requesting this). It was a relief to not have to worry about bothering neighbors if the kids got up in the night or early in the morning. And I'm sure the other guests appreciated not being near kids if it could be helped. The greatest thing about this hotel was the chairs outside every room. We could sit outside and relax after the kids went to bed (at 7:30). The location of the hotel was great. It is across the street from a grocery store and walking distance from the town of Woodstock.
