  "I had the opportunity of staying at the Salem Inn on a road trip I took in my Mustang convertible I drove from Florida. I enjoyed the Inn very much as it was like staying at an old hotel and wasn't overly stuffed with frills. Kind of like staying with my grandmother in her soft bed and quite cozy...." I was in the back and it was so quiet I slept like a log. The breakfast was not in the Inn but around the corner and very tasty and plenty of it. I found the price was right and convenient to all the sights and spent most of my time walking around and visiting the House of the Seven Gables, the packet ship Friendship, the Peabody Museum, and stuffing myself with lobster and clams.
