  "We stayed in room 2109 on June 8th. The hotel was huge, modern looking but full of lots of antiques. The girl that ran the desk was very friendly! I was constantly asking questions and she was really busy but she always took time to make me feel like it was the most important question she had eve..."r heard. There was a list of food that you could order if you didn't want to go to the dining room. We decided to go up to the Panoramic dining room to order but they had a fancier menu than you could get downstairs. We were tired and decided to just go back to the reception desk and eat there. The room was really big (compared to many European hotels). 2 beds pushed together (I really miss the King size beds you can get in the US), a love seat, chair and desk. The carpet made me a little dizzy but the bedroom seemed really clean. The bathroom seemed clean, but when I took a shower, half of the grout was black and the other half white .... so I think it could have been cleaner. B... " More >

  "Fairly comfortable hotel near the ferries."
  "Like others said: Very handy location for the ferries to Norway and the Faroes, or for a visit to the Nordsøen aquarium. Otherwise probably suited for conferences. Hirtshals is hardly a destination in its own right. The room and bathroom were large and comfortable, only thing I missed was a minibar ..."in the room. Reasonably clean, but not 100% perfect.. No noise. The lady at the front desk was business-like, polite and correct. Breakfast was OK. Had dinner also, very enjoyable experience, except it all nearly being ruined by a drunk Dane at a neighbouring table. The sweet thai(?) waitress in the restaurant was very attentive, but not up to handling this drunk Dane. A large bar in the lobby seemed to be out of use, in stead there was a tiny bar in the front desk area. There is a swimmingpool, but I did not see it / use it. Might well stay here again, when I have to catch the morning ferry. " More >

  "We stayed here one night after arriving late with the ferry from Norway. This is actually a former high school that has been made into a motel. Nicely located not far from the sea, and also close to Hirtshals centre. We had a quite big room that had been renovated the week before we arrived, so ever..."ything was spotlessly clean and in perfect condition. A big bathroom also well suited for people using wheelchairs. The breakfast was good with all things fresh. This is a family run motel, so the whole family seemed to take part in the business. All of them very friendly. Wifi was free, but only working in the public area. " More >
