The pool is lovely, with great views of the mountains. Food at dinner is very high quality and given the steep hills to get to the hotel, we dined in the restaurant both nights we stayed there.   "Ostape deserves all the raving reviews it can get, and I feel sorry that I got to write this only three months after our wonderful stay in Ostape in July 2012. Many things have been written about the location and the magical views and the tranquility of the place, I will not repeat those, they are a..."ll true. I remember showing the hotel's website to my parents as I was planning our family vacation in the Basque country and receiving a rather lukewarm reaction from them. When we got to the place and opened the doors of our terrace, however, all every one could say was "why are we only staying here for three nights". Ostape as a hotel managed to satisfy the expectations of a very demanding multigenerational jetlagged crowd (we traveled with my 55 year old parents and our two children 4,5 and 2,5 years old).
