We were turned away at 7pm, 4 hours before closing. There were maybe 10 people lingering by the door that looked like they were waiting to be seated. Unsure what the reason was. There was a sign that said ‘closed’ over the machine that issues...the tickets for waiting, next to a sign that said operating hours were until 10pm.More
This has been our top sushi experience during 2 weeks in Japan. This is a kaiten zushi conveyor type of restaurant - the sushi are being prepared non-stop and placed on a conveyor, and you can take from the conveyor whichever you want. The selection...of sushi was just great - several types of salmon (raw, marinated, seared, baked), caviar, scallops and lots of fish we have not tried before. My personal favorite was a fatty tuna. There is also an option to choose something special from a menu if you don’t see it on a belt. The food is fresh and tastes great - definitely recommended. You have to be ready to wait in line though - there’s an electronic queue, and waiting time on a day off can take around 1 hr. Ittadakimasu!More
Saw the ratings and reviews on yelp. Decided to dinner here on our way back from Disney Sea since we stopped at Tokyo Station. It’s located on the Kitte building top floor. We signed up on a computer screen and we were 40 people behind...the people standing in front of restaurant. I sat my family by the bench and chairs by the elevators. Admired the dancing tree lights hanging. We only waited about one hour for a conveyer belt sushi. And I tell, it’s worth it. You can pick any sushi in the conveyer belt as well as cups for hot tea. Don’t make a mistake on using matcha tea for wasabi. You can order and write your orders- give to the chef. They will create it. The menu has English and pictures. The sushi is so fresh. The pricing is so much cheaper than most sushi places in vegas. Really worth the wait. But I heard if you go early - the wait is less. I would recommend this place to all my friends visiting Tokyo. Great service.More
Outstanding . We were lucky to get seat at the first severing at 10am. Beautiful restaurant on the 5th floor of the Kittening building. Found it using google location map. Nice presentation and great portions. A must to the experience.
One of the best places I've been for sushi. The chefs make sushi fresh in front of you and their enthusiasm creates such a fun atmosphere. The food is delicious and if the chefs offer you any sushi make sure to take it. There's a...large variety of sushi going around the conveyor belt and a menu of other things to order if you don't see what you like. The price is very reasonable - especially considering the area it is in. If you're going to go make sure to make time; the word is out about how great this place is. We had to wait about an hour and a half for a seat and the next two times we tried to get in the queues were so long there was no hope of getting in.More
This is a lively sushi restaurant on the 5th Floor of the kittle building. You sit at a counter surrounding the chefs in the middle of the room. Fresh sushi is made in front of you and placed onto a conveyer belt that goes around...the room, so you can help yourself to whatever takes your fancy! There are also menus (available in English too) so you can order particular pieces of sushi if you don't see something you want on the conveyer belt. There was a queue when we got here - take a ticket from the machine, wait in line for your number to be shown. They took us in early because someone missed their slot. Be prepared to wait but it was worth it! All sushi plates are colour coded and you keep the plates on the counter in front of you. When ready to pay, your price is totalled up using the plates on the counter. Friendly staff, good food, fun experience!More
I read so many stellar reviews of this place on Google that made me really want to try it. The first night we got there an hour before closing and they had already closed the queue. The following night we went back 1 hour after...they opened for dinner and waited 1 hr before we got seats at the conveyor belt. The food was tasty and it was a useful experience to try a few different dishes and decide what we loved and didn't like. Certainly it helps to be able to go to a sushi place now and order exactly what we want. The experience was good and watching the chefs making the sushi whilst I sipped at the free green tea was enjoyable. We had time to persevere with the waiting time but I wouldn't go here if you already know what sushi you like or are impatient and really hungry.More
Wow.... I am an 11 year old kid and this place caught my attention. When my mom told me about this place I was like,”YAY, we’re going to a conveyer belt sushi place!!!” When we got to the sushi place, I immediately wanted to sit...at the counter with the “super-amazing” conveyer belt. After we got seated, I looked at the menu. Hahahaha, there is no menu. The place had color coded plates for the prices. They serve chicken, sushi, and even drinks like apple juice on the belt!!!More
Went here for another lunch of rotating sushi. Since I don't eat fish they had good fries, chicken etc as well. Waiting time was almost one hour.
Because I think you can get better elsewhere for the wait. Head to Katsu Midori in Shibuya and that is 10 times better. I found whilst highly recommended they only have sushi, choice is quite specific, I would say a small choice but the different...types of fish is not that large. They don’t have the different cuts of Tuna or Salmon. If you are in Tokyo Station you can probably find better choices in the “kitchen” eatery section near the Yaseu side. I paid 2,600Yen for 10plates and that doesn’t compare to Katsu midori where I fed a family of 4 for 5,000Yen! Wait time can be 30 mins to 60 mins so you decide. Overall fish is still fresh and good to eat but I won’t be coming back here because it didn’t deliver the knock out punch. Tip: walk from Yurochoku station here and see the small and cheap eaters under the train line, they’re awesome. Look for the Kitte building for this place.More
Far and away easily the best Sushi Conveyor Belt Restaurant we’ve ever had. Especially great value for such amazing quality. Get here early, we made the mistake of showing up the previous night at 9:15pm and they weren’t taking customers (45min before closing) and had...to eat the Italian place across the way (not bad, just not on the same level of deliciousness). We wisely showed up 30min before opening the next morning and were 10th in line. Just a heads up, the KITTE mall opens at 11am so if you get there early, line up at the escalator cause the elevator isn’t operable until later, but they’ll start running the escalator around 10min before 11am. English menu is super helpful but doesn’t list everything, you’ll notice when the locals dining there are enjoying soups that are nowhere to be found on the English menu. It’s okay, just do what we did and politely point to what they’re eating and the super helpful and kind waiters and waitresses will assist.More
The place is very crowded but unlike other restaurants in that area, there is a ticket numbering machine in front of the shop. You can get a number, go walk around KITTE, and then come back later.
I wished we could have eaten here. Tip—if you’re shopping at Kitte take a number as soon as you get there. We went there after shopping and waited over an hour and only 3 groups were seated. We left because we probably wouldn’t have been...seated for another whole hour and we were by that time very hungry.More
Conveyor belt sushi, but there's also a menu, though some things aren't on the English menu. For instance, I only knew to order the crab soup because I saw it on Tripadvisor. Quality: 4/5. Is it the best sushi in the world? Of course not,...but still quite favorably compares with other inexpensive places, or anything you can get at home Variety: 5/5 Very varied menu. Quite a few things I don't normally see at home Price: 5/5 We ate till we were stuffed and our bill came out to like 35 USD. There's no way we could approach this kind of quality/quantity for anywhere near this price in the states. I had to do a double-take on the bill because I didn't quite believe how cheap it was. The queues may be long, given the popularity of the place. Even at 9PM on a Wednesday it was a 15 minute wait. And that's only because last order is at 10PM. It was the only place in the mall full of people at 9PM.More
