We arrived there at 7p.m. with no resarvation. We waited only 10 minutes. You have to write your name at waiting list, just in front of entrance.Otherwise nobody tells you to do .İt was quiet difficult to find it.Restaurant is on the 2th floor of Akasaka Biz Tower, follow that exit from metro. There is no English signposts outside. After all this, sushi was fresh, tasty and just... Went there about a 3 months ago and enjoyed the atmosphere, the service and the food. The soup was a large portion and the sushi was fresh and tasty. It was quite busy the entire time and I would recommend going...

Original Shop is locating Umegaoka, as Head Quota, where I`ve been visited many times. Then after they developped number of Branches, and few years ago, it comes to Akasaka! Taste it same with Original Shop and serving pretty nice, bit modern style than Original Umegaoka Shop, and this is because of location. But I can say, taste/quality/FRESHNESS are same in this... I am not a sushi expert, so I defer to others who are better judges of sushi - but, for an American who loves sushi, this was a great restaurant. While few people in the restaurant speak English, they did have a menu with photographs and some English and were very helpful despite my lack of Japanese. I sat at... More

Umegaoka is great! They have very tasty sushi. Yes, they do not have as much selection as some other places, but instead of trying to overwhelm you with lots of choices they focus on what actually tastes good! Most of the Sushi they do have is very good, though maybe some people who are used to eating Americanized sushi won't... More

We used to go to their headquarters in Midorigaoka, Odakyu Line. Like the HQ, the sushi served here is not sophisticated. However, it would suit for gaijin who wants to eat larger portion. It would also suit for taking kinds. However, if you are thinking of business dinner for clients then you better go to a proper Sushi restaurants. Nonetheless,... More

The restaurant is located on the 2d floor of the Akasaka Biz Tower, just outside of the Akasaka stop on the Chiyoda line. The varieties of sushi available were more limited than in some local sushinrestaurants, but the quality of the fish was very high, and the preparation and presentation were inventive

The long queue is a sign of the good things inside that bamboo themed restaurant. Although the wait can be long because of the numbers, the staff are very efficient in making sure everyone gets a seat as soon as possible. Inside the restaurant, everyone enjoys their sushi feast, but no one is made to eat food in a hurry.... More

Wherever you go+dine Western countries, better go to restaurant where the owner is chef. If you go chain or reasonable priced menu restaurant with good enough portion, you eat all kinds of chemicals. Yes, Japanese SUSHI also. So even this restaurant or fine SUSHI bar in TSUKIJI=fish market, order little bit of highest priced items. for your life.

It is very easy to find this place. I followed the advice of the fellow travelers and decided to try this place during the business trip in Tokyo. They have almost English menu and it was very reasonably priced. Everything I ordered tasted great and seems like a very few places they accept credit cards. The staff was super friendly... More
