I am rapidly running out of superlatives for this place! Today was yet another visit with my Mother, who insists that every time she comes to stay with me, a meal at MQC is a "must". Today did not disappoint (well, for us, it never does). I managed to drag myself away from my usual aubergine & lentil moussaka (which... More

We visited this little cafe on a warm day (not hot) and were concerned to find quite a few gnats in the restaurant. The doors were open and although... More

Found this café quite by chance - only by seeing advertising board on the pavement. But what a find! Far from the usual café fayre of burgers and pies and chips, the Mistley Quay Café serves up really tasty home made meals as well as snacks - we had hand cut sandwiches with salad and a proper pot of tea... What a find! Gorgeous cafe - mismatched farmhouse vintage chairs... Views over the estuary... Yummie cafe cooking - cakes are delicious! Perfect quirky cafe feel - cosy, relaxing... I will be coming here again! I think it's a local gem.
