Sunshine (one of the owners) was just wonderful while we first visited Sol Food last weekend. We tried the spicy chicken and her wild rice/raisin and sweet potato salad. Our favorite place in Westpunt. We went twice for seafood and pizza. Both were great, no complaints. Sunshine and her husband are just wonderful. They also advised us on what's interesting in the area, provided us with a map and a several page long info sheet about the island, its customs and its people. Such a nice touch.

Run by an American ex-pat, Sol Food is only open Friday, Saturdays and Sundays (at least when we were in Curaco in March). Friendly service, outdoor seating, delicious hamburgers and veggie pizzas. Do not skip the homemade brownies - I'm still dreaming of that dessert!

Lovely outdoor terrace, good food (fresh lionfish etc.), pleasant service. About 10 minute drive from Lodge Kira Hulanda. Recommended. Only open F-Sun, though.

So good we had to go back a second time. We had the pizza (pepperoni and veggie) and they were amazing especially with the toppings. The snapper w/ mango was excellent too. I wouldn't normally recommend a steak on the island but the ribeye was great too. The lemon bread/cake they bring you is great.
