last June (2012) on my trip to Jamaica with my niece, we took the Bob Marley and Dunns River tour. Lunch was at the Ruins - heaven! The buffet was a delicious array of Jamaican and Chinese dishes. We stayed a bit late at the Marley mausoleum and childhood home - so we were a bit late for lunch -... More

This restaurant is beautiful. A beautiful bird lived on the hill inside and we took pictures and dined in front of a waterfall! However, the food was mediocre at best (lambchops and steak tough, potatoes from a box, disappointing conch dish). Go and look but don't eat there.

Beautiful restaurant surrounded by waterfalls. Buffet restaurant where you can eat as much as you like. A nice change to eating in the hotel

We had a prebooked large group for a pre wedding day super. The atmosphere and quality of food were both excellent. The took care of the group and catered to several different requests. It is a wonderful setting and would recommend it to anyone for small or large group outings.

We took a cab from our resort which is afpproximately 30 minutes to restaurant. The cab ride cost $80 plus a tip which we felt was very high. The lobster thermidor and snapper escoveitch were excellent. A bit pricey but worth it. We were hoping to sit at a table near the natural falls but it was raining and had... More

This is a wonderful place to have dinner. We were 1 of 3 tables taken in the whole restaurant. The food was great and the scenery was second to none. The staff was very attentive and the facilities were clean. I would definitely go back and recommend this place for a romantic dinner for two. This place truly is right... More

The food was excellent. We ate under the roof as it had been raining intermittently all day. There was a little shower while we were there. It's very scenic restaurant & the service was good. The only negative thing again is the cost of the taxi to get there.

It is worth a meal at The Ruins if only to have the experience of eating next to a waterfall within a beautiful tropical garden. Fortunately the food is also worth the trip which makes for a very enjoyable evening! The menu is a mix of Jamaican, Asian and fusion choices . There were four of us and we tried... More

We were a group of 13 and we submitted different orders.Overall: food was delicious; very good service; nice atmosphere; a little pricy for us $30 per plate plus beverages and coffee is $5; depending on the meal, you may have a show. We had two shows; one with the filet Mignon and for the dragon fish.
