Went for breakfast & forgot how slow this place can be. The coffee & the food were cold & our server disappeared for the entire meal. Pancake was so hard it was nearly inedible.

Fabulous mofongos very reasonably priced. Mofongo is the traditional puerto rican dish of fried green plantains stuffed with a variety of different meats. I had the chicken mofongo and it was perfectly prepared. ( Some mofongo can be overly dry ... )
In a strip mall across the street from the Intercontinental hotel. Prices are attractive and the food is decent for a casual dinner. Pork chop dinner for $15 dollars was nice. Restaurant is cramped. You'll hear your neighbor's conversations.
Service is weak, no follow up and it takes a while for your food to arrive. I really wanted to try...

Yes, it is in a strip center but the food, service, and value were outstanding! Service could not have been better. Had 10% off coupon and server saw it beside my phone and asked for it! Validated my parking! Made good suggestions. Mofundo was tasty, but not over seasoned. Excellent!
Went to Mi Casita during our trip to Puerto Rico. It was a little hard to find initially, as it was in a small strip mall. If you look for "Church's Chicken", it's in the strip mall right next to it. If you're driving, you'll pay about $2 to park an hour.
The general ambiance is family oriented and friendly....

Busy place but not great. It was close to our hotel but only had dinner there once. My meal came with another side but did not get it. Husband tried the mofungo and we were not impressed. Waiter had trouble with english too.
Delicious pork chops, rice, beans, and garlic bread. Good portions for the price. Waiter was very attentive and accomodating.
This place should be on your list of must eat places. Service was great, fast delivery of food & nailed it with home cooking flavor.
My husband and I stumbled upon this place looking for breakfast one morning while staying in Isla Verde and we're so glad we did!! The food was outstanding and so was the price. Their breakfast sandwiches are huge and very good. And you MUST get a side of their home fries. They were outstanding. The service is a little slow...

Had a great Seafood Paella, excellent black bean soup and the wife had Filet Minion which was delicious. Large portions at a reasonable price with a local flavor. This is more of a diner style and not a fancy place. They are busy because the food is great so maybe you might have to wait an extra minute or two...
