Simple, affordable food. I had the blackened fish sandwich one day and the burger the next. Their banana coladas were great. You're right across from the beach, and the atmosphere is very casual. Full of Ex pats

We are vegetarians!! and were scared before we found out this place. Ordered a Veggie Sandwich with Pina colada ... delicious!!! I miss Pina colada :( We had some friends who are not vegetarians and they loved the food too. We went there for Dinner and Lunch :)

We were staying in Esperanza and by the end of the week Bananas was a daily stop! Banana Daiquiries were the best I have ever had. Enjoyed hamburgers and fries for afternoon snacks. Service was great. Fun people watching location.

Great outside seating right on the Malecon in Esperanza. Service was slow, but that seems to be the norm in Vieques. Had the veggie sandwich with lentil salad, a refreshing break from all the deep fried bar foods. Husband had coconut encrusted grouper sandwich. All was very good, reasonably priced. Definitely NOT your average bar food.

friendly bartender who made great margaritas. food was pretty good, had tostones, hummus w/ pita, and grilled veggie sandwich. good for a stop after the beach to hang and chat with the locals and of course, enjoy a margarita w/ lots of fresh lime.

Stopped in during a day trip to Vieques. We had the best server, Margaret, who was super helpful with suggestions and recommendations. The best salad and sandwiches (super yummy) and the tastiest wine and beer. Combine all of that with the view, the atmosphere and the fact that we were in Esperanza. Easy peasy lemon squeezy.

We enjoyed Bananas during our stay on Vieques. The service was slow but several tables sat quickly and there was only one server. Plus, you're on island time here. We didn't mind. The food was good and the atmosphere was better. We would recommend Bananas.
