We found Barnacles two years ago looking for something new. This is the place to come to for a great Happy Hour and stay for dinner. Alberto and Calli will have you trying different things and everyone of them are great. Its our must stop, 3 times a week when in SXM. It's has also become our friends must stop.... More

The first building on the left in Simpson bay heading from the airport towards Phillipsburgh. It's hidden on the waterfront behind Robbie's lottery store. Have never had a bad meal but, the atmosphere is relaxed and as others have noted you don't expect to get served you dinner in a hurry but it's worth waiting for. The red snapper is... More

On a dock behind a building....a bit of a challenge to find. The ambiance was island casual with a dose of "we just got off our boat for dinner." The menu is on a chalk board and the server greeted us warmly as we were contemplating whether we would stay for dinner....her welcome was sealed the deal and we were... More

We visited Barnacles two weeks ago and had a few drinks and appetizers which were good - especially the calamari. But then we tried a couple of the Greek dishes and they were just awful. We overheard somebody say that the older Greek gentleman that used to cook there has retired which might explain things. We would stop in again... More

Barnacles has a pleasant location behindGourmetMarche neaqr the airport curvfe. Youare on the lagoon and canh see the yachts. The placeis fun, the serversare fun, the food is good. However 40 minutes wait for a couple gyros is excdessive. Then they really weren't gyros (just strips of meat cookedon the grill and thrown on some pita and covered in tzatziki)... More

Located on Simpson bay lagoon and very popular with cruisers. The menu is limited but what is avaiable is exceptionally well prepared. Friday is BQ rib night. The ribs are prepared days in advance and often sell out. Arrive early. The Greek items on the menu daily are excellent. This is a very friendly place where families, tourists, & cruisers... More

I went to Barnacles for lunch with two coworkers. One of them had been there before and said the food was delicious, but the service took forever. She wanted to give it another try. This time around, it took 50 minutes for our three orders to come out. Besides the people drinking at the bar, we were the only ones... More

Condo neighbors raved about Barnacles, so we stopped in for lunch. Only about 4 people there. It took 45 minutes to get our food. The green salad was very good. The calamari undercooked and came with no sauce. The fries were cold. Indifferent waitress.

Tried this bar last year and was very impressed. Good Greek food and friendly bar staff. Owner happened to be from the same area in Pa. as us, so we had a lot to talk about. We event wrote a message on their wall. Definitely a must try!

Our family went there three times. The Buffalo style shrimp is awesome, cheap beers, authentic greek food, and Alberto can mix drinks you have never heard of! The owners, Alberto and Calli who is from Greece, are genuine friendly, and will go out of their way to make you happy. Not only got fed well, but received several island tips... More
