I can't wait to go back!! My wife and I ordered an appetizer and different entrees for each of us before dessert. Presentation of each item was spectacular!! As good as the presentation was it still did not prepare us for the incredible taste - it was quite close to a spiritual experience - that good!! I am 56 years... More

The service and food is very good. Thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. My aunt got the 3lb snapper and it was delicious.

We went to the Fish Trap on the recommendation of a friend who had been, and we were so happy for the recommendation. The food was really great - not too greasy, made with good ingredients, and very tasty. On top of the excellent dining experience, great bartender and waiter, the view was wonderful, and the breeze was really super... More

We enjoyed the outside seating area and live music. The cocktails were nothing special, and lobster was a little less than expected too. The rest of the meal was great (steak, muscles, chicken fingers) and the location is convenient.

I had looked forward to eating at what appeared to be a fish restaurant with a fish store incorporated into it. Sad to say it was overall a disappointment. However, we had excellent and very personable, friendly and efficient service from our waitress. We started with two orders of conch fritters which we regard as a test of island eating... More

The service here is spectacular! Food is ok, but a hit or miss. Have been here several times. For the amount of fresh fish they get in comparison to other places on island, they should find better recipes/cooks

Great place to take kids and get a very good meal at a reasonable island price. Good food for the adults, extremely accomodating for children. We had a group of 11 and 4 were under 5 years old. Everyone was nice, helpful and made it the best group place with that mix in Cruz Bay. All meals were excellent and... More

A bit hard to find, it's not really visible unless you are looking for it. They have parking available, which is a HUGE plus on St. John. Not very busy, they had live music - very gentle guitar, nothing loud. Ordered grilled Mahi and grouper, both were quite good and presented well. Their island rice and beans leaves a bit... More

Located in Wharfside Village, Cruz Bay, the Fish Trap, you have to seek this restaurant out; it is not a place you are likely to stumble on. I, therefore, assumed the food must be pretty good. Unfortunately I was wrong. Both my wife and I ordered fish; both were overcooked and were accompanied by overcooked side dishes. Dessert, a coconut-caramel... More

Took the family to Fish Trap for a seafood dinner based on recomendation of our resort concierge. The atmosphere was a little dark and dreary, I think it could have benefitted from a bit of island background music. I had the mussel linguine and it was pretty good but not memorable. In fact I had to ask my wife to... More
