This is must for those in love or want an unforgettable family dinner. Reservations are required but the food, the ambiance, the mariachis and oh yes the view and sunset just fantastic. It's no wonder Richard Burton and Elizabeth Taylor chose to live here. I have only been there in 2013,2012,2011,-,2010 and looking forward to 2014.

First, you can caught up in the ambience which reeks the wonderful Spanish influence. Beautiful courtyards, and rooms, fountains, and statues...just beautiful. The upstairs dining room has the view of the South of Puerto Vallarta and you can watch the magnificent sunset. The filet mignon (nice portion), NY strip (smaller portion), and Ahi, and rack of lamb is excellent. Full... More

We live in PV and eat out often. 4 of us went for dinner. We stood on the sidewalk for 10 minutes waiting for someone to open the door for entry. We entered and they couldn't find our reservation, but seated us anyway. We are fluent in both English and Spanish, so there was no reason for the mistake. We... More

this is certainly a 5 star place - view of the ocean and the whole city on the hills, food was delicious (small portions, like most places of this caliber - we came as part of restaurant week and $29/person value that included an appetizer (tomatillo soup, excellent but spicy despite of what the waiter told us ;)), or fennel/watercress... We were looking for a special restaurant to celebrate a special anniversary, and it seemed that Hacienda San Angel fit the bill. It started out great. Gorgeous setting, a nice table with a great sunset view, and wonderful mariachis. Our scallop appetizer was also very good. We ordered the house salad which was good - not great, and the crab... A must visit for a great dining experience. View is incredible, mariachis (don't sit too close to the stage area). Roam the grounds with your camera. Stay for sunset. Highly recommend the desserts.

What can I say....if you want a special evening out for a couple or a group this is the place. Service is excellent - Food is outstanding - Mariachi Band is wonderful - The atmosphere and view are magical. The beef and lamb dishes are excellent, wine selection is great. So...... just make a reservation, go there and enjoy yourself..................

You just simply have to try this place at least once! The food is amazing and so is the view. I normally don't like Mariachi bands, but they have one here that I believe performs every evening because they did all 3 times I have been and they are amazing. You just want to sit there and listen to them... More

If you want a special dinner and night out this is the place to go. The views are fantastic, the food and service outstanding and the Mariachi Band completes the evening. It is a bit hard to find, but just ask around and you will not be disappointed. Arrive early so you can enjoy the sunset. Reservations are definitely needed.... More

Not even sure where to start! The Hacienda San Angel is an experience from trying to find the front door (and it's crazy doorbell) to the breathtaking views from the patio, to the delicious menu. The Chile Relleno was mouthwatering and the black bean soup was an actual work of art. The hostess and wait staff were extremely accommodating and... More
