Everything is true about the reviews for this gem. The owner and staff are sweet and helpful. Our waiter also spoke english. Food is excellent and the nearby carwash adds to the laid-back feel. We will go back before we go.

This lovely place is in a very unexpected location, but we made it a destination after tasting the food. On both occasions, we were the only non-Mexicans in the place, which is a very good recommendation.

Went for breakfast on Sunday, went back on Monday. If you're lucky you might get to make your own tortilla.

Right next to the carwash and a few paces from the must go to Papa Loco. Nothing to look at from the street. Very clean and cheerful staff helpful to those of us Spanish challenged. We went for breakfast - excellent value for money. traditional Mexican food and service. Highly recommend

Great authentic mexican food and fun place to go for brunch. Staff was friendly and very helpful in explaining menu items to us who do not speak Spanish.

This restaurant will give you the flare of what Mexico is known for. Wonderfully genuine people and proud of it's sustenance delivered to your table. If you want a truly mexican restaurant that will give you something to remember of your stay then this restaurant will accomplish that. Disfutar (enjoy).

Mexican fare with Carmelita's added touch. Charming staff and a delightful hostess. Try her zucchini blossom tacos. Delicious.

We ate at Carmelita's twice during our week stay in Ixtapa, totally fabulous. Clean and cheerful restaurant, staff who have pride in where they work, a gracious host and some of the most delicate and delicious Mexican home style food, we will be back whenever in the area.
