Xavier offers less dishes for a reason - he keeps his business small, inexpensive and very high quality. I've gone many times with friends, my parents, and my girlfriend and we've always enjoyed our meals there. Try it if you want a gourmet meal for less!

I have dined at this place many times. The food is excellent and the chef is the son of one of Guanajuato's most important artist, Capelo. The father also runs the museum of Modern Art, also in the same street and maybe 10 doors down. My only problem with this restaurant is that the food when the chef is present... More

This is a nice small restaurant set on the second floor of a traditional house. The interior (the colors, the floors, the layout) made me remember of my grand mother’s house in Mexico City. The rooms are decorated with paintings and ceramic pieces to create an interesting ambiance of traditional mexican home mixed with contemporary and traditional art. The food... More

I ate here three times during my stay in Guanajuato; it was that good. First time, I had steak with caramelized onions in a red wine sauce, fantastic. Second time, I had basa with mushrooms in white wine sauce, also fantastic, tender, and bone-free, with a starter of tomato soup with maize kernels, quite tasty. Third time, I didn't take... More

I can't say enough about this wonderful dining experience. We had the ceviche and Tortillia soup for applies. Both delicious, fresh and the flavour divine. For entres we had the fish with mango sauce and the fish with peanuts lime, butter olive oil served with vegetables. The presentation artful, the use of fresh herbs delicate and delicious. There were four... More

It is a pretty reseraunt but I wasnt impressed. First of all the waiter was extremely unfriendly and snooty. I ordered the ginger salmon(125 pesos), recommended by some on tripadvisor, and I had to send it back as it was totally undercooked (raw in the center) and it was extremely small and a few potatoes with it. I knew I... More

I visited given the reviews on TripAdvisor, but I was a little disappointed as it was getting rave reviews. I had the ceviche - I liked that were are nice big chunks of fish, but the flavours were not well balanced. It was a little too acidic, and although I know that the fish is "cooked" in the lime juice,... More

Best restaurant I ate at during my 4-day stay in Guanajuato. Besides a lovely, intimate and charming restaurant, it's also an art gallery featuring many dazzling and intriguing works mounted on the walls. If you're tiring of the usual Mexican fare (enchiladas, quesadillas, tacos, chile rellenos), this is the place to check out. Lovingly and expertly prepared modern, continental cuisine.... More

I think this is the best reasonably priced restaurant in Guanajuato. The salmon and bass dishes are cooked perfectly. Great mojitos, salads, and desserts, too. As you eat you are surrounded by beautiful ceramics by Capelo. Compared to other restaurants in this price range (main courses are priced $80-$125 pesos) this is your best choice.

Excellent cerviche, one of the best. House salad is fresh and delicious. This restaurant is very consistent. We ate here twice in a week.
