El Moro is a Mexico city tradition, I only managed to visit once on my trip to Mexico city but now wish I had been many more times! Order your hot chocolate from a number of different styles (Mexican, Spanish, French, Special) .. a standard order comes with 4 fresh, hot delicious, cinnamon-y churros which you then dip into your... this is a local store and you must take care when ordering and paying your meals...the product is local and so is the water...ask in advance for the preparations

This place is as busy as a bee hive and it's no wonder why. The churros here are amazing! After a full day of touring the city, my grandmother took me here for the delicious combo of 'churros y chocolate especial.' The last time she came here was in the 1970's! She said it's just like before. That's amazing to... More

The place never closes, even during the strongest earthquakes. The churros is the main reason to go. They are always made a few minutes before consumption. Price is extremely low. You can sit down and enjoy an order of them with a hot chocolate or you can just pay for them and leave. I recommend you see how they use... More

Very good churros and hot chocolate, but as I'm used to having it in Spain, I ordered the Espanol. Too sweet! My throat burned. Next time I go back (and there will be a next time) I will order the one they call "amaro" - bitter - instead.

This is a traditional place in Mexico City. Arguably the oldest churreria in town. Pros: 1. Good price 2. Wide variety of beverages: hot chocolate, coffee, milk and shakes. 3. Good churros: not great, just average! The difference is that you dip them into you hot chocolate and mmmmmm.... 4. Service 24 hours Cons: 1. Always crowded!!! Unless you go... More

Not located in a nice street, rude waitresses but ... must have this experience. An old-fashioned "churreria" : standard order is 4 delicious churros and a mug of the cholocate of your choice (Spanish-style, Mexican-style...). They serve other things but ... why bother? have the churros!

This place has been there for many years. Their specialties are the churros and hot chocolate. Although my friends like the churros from Coyoacan better, I personally found this place on top as the churros are freshly made and you can add on the Mexican chocolate while you wish to continue to indulge. If you are around the area it... More

Open 24 hours a day in central Mexico City near Bellas Artes -- wonderful chorros with wonderful hot chocolate. I had the semi-sweet with cinnamon, but my friend had a sweeter chocolate and was equally happy. Actually, everyone I saw there was happy. And there are families, couples, groups of friends off work, all types of people in the crowd.... More
