When I am even close, I have to stop. Don't miss these tortas. they are served with great pickled veggies with chili and salsas. A cubana - with pork leg and ham and cheese - are about 30 pesos. Just take your plate to a shady place in the park (conzotti park - just west of Llano park) and enjoy.

Today, following the suggestion of others of your reviewers, I took a noontime walk and had lunch at La Hormiga sandwich stand in Conzatti Park. I chose the popular Cubana and embellished it with their excellent salsa rojo. It was definitely delicious and the entire experience was delightful as I sat near the fountain to enjoy my lunch.

I had quite a few tortas in the 10 days I spent in Oaxaca, some in restaurants/cafes and some from street vendors. This was by far the best I had. 20 pesos and delicious. Need I say more.

We visited the food truck rather than the restaurant...its a wonderful spot to grab a torta. You can just walk into the park and eat it fountainside....lovely

This little sandwich stand in Conzatti Park and the puesto around the corner from the Zocalo are both great stops for a grilled sandwich. You can find it on the corner, because of the people grouped around it. You order on the left and get your drink. When your number is called you get your sandwich. In the meanwhile you... More

La Hormiga is always my choice when I need a quick, tasty, filling torta (sandwich). Their bolillos (rolls) are fresh and they have a great selection of ingredients. I highly recommend the Cubana which has everything but the milanese is also a favorite. La Hormiga is on the south east corner of Jardin Conzatti, a lovely park. Take your torta... More

There is always a long line at this torta stand at lunch time..and for good reason! They range from 15 to 30 pesos and are excellent. Plus, they're located in Conzatti park, a nice, relatively quiet place to have lunch.

Good place for a torta or sandwich. Not much else on the menu.

This place proves the rule, if you see a line where they are selling food, get in it. This was the first meal my husband and I had in Oaxaca and we went back twice. Really incredible tortas.

Once you are brave enough to trust street food you should try this wagon food stand. It's fast & furious & is actually a good show just to watch the cooks turn out torts after torts. There are lots of choices. My personal favorite is chorizo with quesillo (cheese). You can take away in a paper bag or have your... More
