In much wandering around Merida, it seemed that most "Italian" restaurants there were nothing more than pizzerias. A friend suggested we try Trattoria La Pasta. It looks nice from the outside. The interior is warm and inviting with lots of old Hollywood photos of yesteryear stars dining in restaurants. I actually enjoyed the music which was I believe Tony Bennett.... More

Given our good experiences with other Italian restaurants in Merida, and its location on Paseo Montejo, we expected this to be a good place to eat. It wasn't. The food was mediocre at best; overpriced given the quality. The background music was loud and annoying. The staff, with this exception of the young woman who waited on us, were unfriendly.... More

We are currently on vacation in Merida and have eaten here 3 times and will be back another 1 or 2 times before we leave. We've had Caprese salad every time- spectacular! We've also had 2 different pizzas, fettuccine Alfredo, and tiramisu. Everything was delicious and Yenni took very good care of us. Their pinot grigio is also delicious. Prices... More

This is a favorite place of ours. There are specialties, like lasagna, pizzas and a 'create your own pasta' option. You choose from house-made pastas and the sauce you want. The tomato based sauces seem to be the best ones, especially the one with beef and bacon. This is probably my favorite. The Arrabiata is very tasty, as well. The... More

A charming spot at night, with great food, good wine and helpful wait staff. Prices were very reasonable.

it's a good choice if you're in the area, but not worth a trip from across town certainly. the pizzas were a little silly - we ordered one with nuts and it came with probably 50 walnuts. obviously we scraped off most of them. the pasta was authentically prepared and our sauces were good (pesto and bolognese), though a bit... My husband and I found this restaurant to be located in an easy-to-find location (who doesn't enjoy driving along Paseo de Montejo in the evening?) and quite delicious. It was recommended to us by a local Merida friend. We were additionally pleased to find that Trattoria La Pasta has three coupons in the City Passport coupon book we purchased. We... More

Nice small restaurant on famous Paseo de Montejo. The place itself is pretty small but great terrace on the very large side walk. Great selection of home made pasta and great thin crust pizza. A coconut crème brulee for desert will make me come back for sure. Good restaurant bet for lunch and diner at a very reasonable price .friendly... More

Has the most amazing fresh cheese, basil and tomato salad with a balsamic reduction...art on a plate! My daughters were thrilled with the gnocchi Alfredo and spaghetti puttanesca. ( Both said it was better than Noona's-don't tell her!) Service was very friendly and attentive despite my truly appalling Spanish. Got a seat on the rather smallish indoor seating portion and... We went yesterday to Trattoria La Pasta, it was fully packed big line to enter the place. We finally made it inside and they set us on a table in the very corner next to the barman, we had two friends joining us after we sat (I understand that may have caused the problem but still it was no way...
