Overlooking the Bay, this is a romantic spot with wonderful food and neat Margaritas. The menu is varied and I have never had anything that wasn't excellently prepared. Go and enjoy!

Wonderful people. Serene by the sea. Save room for awesome chocolate cake and espresso. Marlena contributes to the town and is good to her staff.

We went to Marlene's on our penultimate day and wished we had gone sooner. The food is all good and the staff are friendly and attentive. You will get the odd beach vendor popping in but it all adds to the atmosphere and, who knows, you may pick up a bargain.

We were getting tired of Mexican food and, having read the other Trip Advisor reviews of Marlena's, decided to try it for comida when on a day trip to Barra. I had the goulash...It was excellent!! We have been in Barra a few times and Marlena ( along with Loco Loco ) is one of our favorite spot. View on the beach and the magnificent bay is so relaxing while you are eating excellent food. I recommend the ceviche of camarones but everything is ok and served with friendly staff. A good choice
