This up was built in Ireland, dismantled, shipped to Banff and reconstructed. It has beautiful features with a simple menu, simple food cooked t perfection. The staff were very pleasant and helpful

Fun place for dinner. The live music was fine, although the venue is not really set up well for it. On a crowded evening we had to wait 15 minutes (went strolling, but returned to a choice table near the fireplace. The food was a step above for a pub, and the atmosphere made for an enjoyable evening.

On every trip to Banff, a visit to this Pub is always a must. The quality of the food, the reasonable prices and the warm reception for us and our friends is delightful. For us the liver and bacon, fish and chips and the steak sandwich are our favourites.

Had a great evening at St James as usual. Ordered their fish and chips and listened to a great Irish folk singer, a regular there Thursday nights. Always a popular stop it was full most of the night when the town itself was quiet.

No complaints - very reasonably priced, lovely people and great (good sized portions) of food. Will be going back...
