If you are looking for a tasty sandwich, bowl of soup or pastry for lunch, this is definitely a great place to stop. My husband and I shared a delicious turkey sandwich with a cappuccino to wash it down. On a nice day, you have the option to sit out on their sidewalk patio. I would definitely go back and... More

we met our niece and her baby here for lunch the other day. we had a delicious bowl of roasted veggie soup and shared a tuna sandwich, all good. busy as always, even at the early hour of 11:00. all ages. big windows to let the light in. on a busy street. there is an outdoor patio for the warmer... this restaurant in old downtown Nanaimo can always be relied on for good food, great service and an ambience that provides warmth and good feelings. The food offered provides something for every palatte and desire and the coffee is consistent. A variety of seating gives options for a short "cuppa" or a long conversation with friends. The owner/operator is more... More

Everything is made fresh and to order. the bakery supplies the restaurant so you know it is FRESH. the smells from the kitchen are so enticing you want to order everything on the menu.

I simply love the fact that when I'm having a rough morning I can come here and they take care of me. With an atmosphere that is unimaginably un-Nanaimo Mon Petite Choux transports the best of Western Europe within walking distance of the harbor front. Every trip down town should at least have a coffee here, and really whoever is... More

We chose this spot for a light lunch by recommendation of a colleague. My girlfriends and I arrived and seated ourselves as no one paid any attention to us. But it would appear that "seat yourself" was the intended outcome anyway. We sat and waited, finally a young blonde woman came by showing complete disinterest in us and obviously how... More

Stopped in after a walk along the waterfront, looking for a latte and some patries. Was surprised with the luke warm lattes. Ham and cheese croissant was burnt but their version of pizza was delicious. Bill came to over $40 with 2 lattees, 2 lunch items, a hot chocolate and 3 desserts.

This is my favourite Nanaimo coffee shop / bakery / quick lunch or breakfast spot. The cappuccino is on par with anything in Vancouver; the sandwiches are always fresh and delicious - the Nicoise being my favourite. The breakfast options are great; the quiche so reliable. There is really nothing on the menu I don't like or haven't tried. The... More

Can't go wrong with breakfast, lunch or just coffee in this little Nanaimo gem. I heart independent business and this one gets everything right from the staff, service and quality of food and coffee. Thanks for raising the bar and quality casual in Nanaimo.
