My son & his wife often go for brunch but had not been for dinner until my visit so we didn´t know what to expect. Well it has a very different menu, and not a lot to my taste, I am a picky eater, but I had a burger, my first in like forever, and it was perfectly cooked, succulent... More

I have fallen in love with this place. You must have the warm kale salad. I'm a meat eater, but if all vegetarian food tasted like this I would convert and never look back. My other favorite is the (in house) smoked brisket pontine -wow! The flavor s are intense. Reservations are recommended on weekends, otherwise I would have been... More

We had a reservation a 9pm on a Saturday night. We arrived at 8:55 but still had to wait for another 20 - 25 mins before our table was ready. The resaturant apologized but they didn't ask if we wanted to get some drinks while waiting (they have a full sized bar). Not a good first impression. The menu offers... More

The food here is outstanding. The quality is comparable Le Crocodile and better than some of the Global Group restaurants (sorry guys! I just wrote a great review for Black and Blue and love Coast but it's true) which generally charge a lot more. I love the fish dish with the egg on top and have yet to try brunch... More

Dined here in April and had last summer as well. Found everything on the menu almost over-complicated. Tough to find things to eat that weren't high fat fusions. Everything is delicious but those watching waistline, beware. The kale salad was drowning in sour cream or such. Some offerings that are deliciously simple, fresh and light would go a long way... I had the pleasure of celebrating my one year wedding anniversary at Vancouver's Oakwood Canadian Bistro. From booking the table to paying the bill the experience lived up to all the hype. We enjoyed a 6 course tasting menu and were served by the GM. The highlight was their take on 'meat and potatoes' that included a perfectly prepared sous... More

I'm starting off with a resounding WOW! This place deserves a #1 rating. What a cool concept-sharing. Each dish was designed to be packed with so much nuance and flavor that you can only eat half a portion so you can make room for more. We ordered the brisket poutine-french fries covered in veal stock and cheese curds with a... More

Have been going here since day one and have enjoyed every meal. Chef Mike whips up amazing dishes with a creative flair that rivals anything in Vancouver all at a reasonable price. Unpretentious and enjoyable. Happy to recommend to friends and family. The brunch is great and always enjoy the corn beef hash combinations.

One of my clients brought me here last week, and it was an extraordinary place! The food was beyond delicious. We ordered seared gnocchi, brisket poutine, duck cannelloni, and the kale salad. I heard that they have good burgers too, but we didn;t get a chance to order. All dishes were creatively decorated and were a feast for the eyes.... More

(Disclaimer: I love Vancouver & Canada, hence a 5 instead of 4.5 rating.) Decided to try this new restaurant during my holiday given the good ratings on Trip advisor. And it did not disappoint us. I always love the cozy n warm decor provided by wood furnishing. Good settings. Honestly not sure what Canadian cuisine is other than poutine. They... More
