This restaurant has all the window treatment of a high end establishment. It looks quite stunning when walking in through the front doors, looking down into the dining room and moving down the stairs. The room is very well groomed and decorated. The service was actually quite good in my experience. The waitress was attentive and very polite. The enchantment... More

Always enjoy lunch at the Press and Bean...great press sandwich specials, served with soup or salad...the best in town.

It was a special occasion and my daughter booked this restaurant before we arrived in St. John's. They have been before and always enjoyed it. In particular, my daughter raved about the Cod au Gratin. They also offer a set of prix fixe 3-course meals. It seems that, since she was last there, the prix fixe meals have been changed.... More

We visit this restaurant on many occasions whether its a special occasion or just an evening out. The rack of lamb is my all time favourite. Great steaks, pasta dishes, duck breast,..etc Parking can sometimes be a hassle.

I have been to the press and bean restaurant a number of times and the food is very good. There is a nice lunch menu and it is reasonably priced. I prefer the downtown location to the Torbay Road location as the atmosphere is better. The staff were very accomodating.

New location on Water Street is modern with a nice atmosphere. Food is excellent especially the Cod au gratin which is by far the best I have had at any restaurant. When I come to Newfoundland, it is always a stop for me. There is plenty on the menu to choose from especially seafood! Give it a try, you won't... More

Chipoltie hamburger is very poor. Cold and meat did not taste good, frozen patties from grocery store. The girls with me had the stir fry and said if was very good, however I prayed $100.00 for two stir fries and a plate of chips This is the second time I went there and the food was cold and tasteless. I... More

I have only been to this resturant once and it will definitly not happen a second time. They are not child friendly and are not welcoming of children at all. We told them when making a reservation that we would require a high chair for my little girl, I was told this would not be a problem however was a... More

The cellar is an unusual setting and very pleasantly set out. Great welcome and attentive service without being intrusive. Good vegetarian options and fair prices.

Good quality, reasonably priced food! The paninis are to die for! The restaurant is lovely and very comfortable... A must try! Have been there for dinner, as well, and was not disappointed!
