Right across the street from the Halifax Westin Hotel. We had take out and really enjoyed the hand tossed pizza.
We stopped at this place because they had a sign posted that read: "Best pizza in North America!" We figured that was pretty hard to do, but I must say it is one of the best pizzas I have ever eaten. I had the Bel Cibo and a glass of Chianti. They also gave you a very generous portion of... More
We decided to revisit one of our favourite restaurants from our honeymoon over 10 years ago, and we were not disappointed. The pizza was, just as we remembered, one of the best we've ever had. The "basement cave" atmosphere was perfect too - romantic, even with a little baby in tow. Great wine list and a selection of local Garrison... More
My daughter and I wanted to eat her for lunch. I had a groupon and no where on the groupon did it state that it had to be used for dinner. We were seated and I asked if the groupon would be honored and the waitress went to ask the owner. He said no. So we got up and left.... More
Outside of pizza I would not recommend anything on the menu as it all is secondary on their mind. The pasta was overlooked, the sauces were tasteless at best and poor service to boot. Next time I will just do a pizza takeout as we all seen a mouse having a field day in the main dinning area!
I ordered a spaghetti w meat sauce, my son the penne w cracked pepper and a ceasar salad for two. My son liked his okay but said it wasn't his thing, I took home his left overs because I was intrigued by how it looked. My conclusion was that overdoing it is a thing with Tomavinos. The cracked pepper penne... More
in my opinion, Tomavino's has the best pizza in Halifax, and i consider myself a connoisseur. Their dishes are authentic Italian, and won't rob your wallet. Great location, nice style restaurant, and again...delicious food.
Visited with a group of 12+. Service was good. Menu is limited - mostly pizza and some pasta dishes. I am not a big pizza eater, but glad I ordered pizza here. It was delicious. Not a greasy, doughy mess like you get in a chain. Would be great takeout if you are staying at the Westin nearby.
Tomavinos has been my go to pizza place since it opened. So I was sad when it closed and happy that it reopened. But, it is not as good as it used to be. I've ordered spaghetti and had twice the sauce for the amount of pasta. The toppings on tonight's pizza were overcooked and the sauce was tasteless. I... More
There has been an Italian Restaurant in this location for as long as I can remember. Tomavino's does not disappoint. The atmosphere is a bit dated, but the surroundings and the staff are friendly and inviting. For an appetizer, we had the mussels. They were fresh and very, very tasty. We did not eat the pizza, but instead focussed on... More
