Great casual place for soup, quiche, sandwich, salad. Or a slice of cake or pie ! Very casual! Really great place for a quick bite. Keep going back...
Picked Memories to dine at as it seemed like a welcoming place to escape the cold, winter weather. Service was quick, super friendly and left a good impression. For lunch I had ordered a roast beef sandwich and a soup. Both were superb and very fresh. Prices seemed a tad high - $14.00 - but considering the location, I figured... More
They have a very nice patio, the sandwiches on the lunch menu are a little different the usual and very good, delicious desserts and yummy brunch.
Went there twice, most recently last winter for coffee and dessert (no meals). Everything we had was average, nothing really stood out, but was passable. Unusual art for sale on the walls. Location was great at Clarence and Sussex and there is a fun fountain in the alley beside the restaurant. The service was slow as many have described.
Visited Memories in Clarence Street, Ottawa for desert & coffee after an evening out and the deserts are to die for! Very friendly service and a nice comfortable feel to the restaurant. In fact, we enjoyed the coffee & desert so much we returned the next day for lunch which was equally enjoyable. Overall, excellent friendly service, good value for... More
Dined for a special group occasionon on Sat Oct 21 with the 50 plus crowd. Good selection of wine and fine scotch. We enjoyed a 4 course meal, all were fantastic..well prepard, each dish was well thought out and tasted great. Still my favourite resaurant in Regina!
Giant slices of cake and pie, a decent coffee menu and, what looks to be, some nice light meals. Would return for lunch. This time we just had dessert.
We had a great lunch here with our children. Food was fresh and extremely tasty. The decor is lovely and the service was efficient. The only thing we didn't like was we split a sandwich for our children, that also came with a soup and the waitress advised us the soup could easily be split into two bowls. However, she... More
To be fair, I've only been to Memories once. I was craving cheesecake, and heard they had good cakes. I got one slice of Lemon-passionfruit cheesecake, but I was disappointed with the flavour/consistency. I make cheesecake at home and prefer the homemade variety. Plus, I had to pay $9 for the smallish slice!
I visit Ottawa often and this was my third time at Memories. My first experience was fine. The food was very good, the dessert was delicious and the service good. My last two visits were disappointing. I was there during the lunch rush and in the early afternoon when I was the only customer & both times the service was... More
