Popular with young adults, our son and his wife were able to recommend items that were good, but not great. On a Friday night, there is barely room to move between tables.
We went for a late Friday night dinner (8:30 pm) to La Vecchia and it was busy. We were told that it was about a 20 min wait. We didn't mind waiting because we didn't make reservations and it was a reasonable wait time for a restaurant that has an apparent good reputation for good food. After waiting for about... More
My most disappointing restaurant in Toronto and I do eat out a lot! The mixed sea food platter has all the grilled fish (salmon and red snapper) grilled burned on one side and soft raw on the other, so I couldn't eat any of it. This is only 25% of the problem, the disaster comes from the way the restaurant... More
Anniversary dinner after a Cats matinee...we started with the Bruschetta la Vecchia. My wife had the Halibut catch of the day special with a Chianti Classico. I ordered the Scaloppine Diano Marina and an Italian lager. Dessert came with two forks and disappeared. This was probably our sixth or seventh visit to La Vecchia either for lunch or dinner over... We were a party of four for dinner on a busy evening. Everyone enjoyed their meals, I'll speak to mine specifically. I started with the leek and potato soup which was flavourful and piping hot. I had heard the meats are very good here, so I ordered the osso buco at the suggestion of the server and it did not... More
My friend and I checked out this restaurant on a girls night out, and were very happy with our experience. Our server was exceptional - Very knowledgeable and friendly. The food was delicious. I had the seafood pasta special and it was one of the best seafood pastas I have ever had! Definitely had a great experience and will be... More
I had the Penne alla Vodka which was delicious. The staff was great and accommodating. I felt the price was reasonable ($16 for meal; $10 for glass of wine). It is located in Uptown Toronto. The interior is really quaint and romantic.
This restaurant is not big ... but is crowded with nice people. The food is good, and we received good service ... but a sort of expensive. Anyway, you must try it. God bless you.
My husband and I have been going to Last Vecchia for a few years now. We decided to extend the experience to our three daughters. We were celebrating our daughters 21st birthday. Upon arrival we were seated right away as We had reservations. Monday nights are great as it is steady but not crazy busy as the weekend. The waiter... More
To be gin with, I was not crazy about the waiter calling me by my first name repeatedly( I had made a reservation, so he could see my name). then he would come to the table and while I was wafting for the other party, he as fairly aggressive in pushing the overpriced "water for the table" which is a...
