My family likes eating here, but there's just a few negatives. The food is good, but a little greasy. The portions are large, so that's a plus. The downside is the atmosphere is just okay, and it's all self service. You can get drink refills which is nice, and they're salsa bar is delicious.

When I saw a "real" mexican burrito joint come into Spokane I couldnt have been happier..I was hoping for a "robertos" like in san diego... unfortunately the food quality and consistancy falls short... pros: --cheap: Compared to Tacos Tumbras this is a steal --huge portions: the burritos are huge as are the tacos cons: -- very inconsistant - sometimes the... Spokane is a very "white bead" area. On the whole, not the epicenter of great ethnic food. Abelardos makes authentic Mexican food. They do use lard. Their chili rellenos are the only excellent ones I've had in this area.

Having lived next to Mexico this is the closest you will get to authentic Mexican in Spokane. I personally like the Carnitas Tacos the best.

I tried this restaurant based solely on reviews I read online. Having been disappointed by almost every other Mexican restaurant in the Spokane area, I thought, "Maybe this is finally one where I can find good Mexican food." Unfortunately it didn't live up to the reviews I read. The portions were more than generous, the prices were quite reasonable, and... More

I can appreciate the "authentic" nature of this place. But when you want late Mexican, you can't beat Taco Bell. I was hoping this place would be something like Baja Fresh because Spokane doesn't have one. It's not quite there. The cashiers and managers could barely understand english. I'm amazed they can run a business that way! But then again,... More
