Boathouse on the pier offers stunning views and good food in a tight, but nice location over Lake Tahoe. If you like lots of space while you eat, this is not the place for you, but there are few other places around the lake that can match its location.

Not sure you'll find a better view, especially at sunset. Great place to sit at the bar, relax, watch a game, and look out at the lake. We had chicken piccata and sea bass special. Both were solid.

We had two good experiences at this restaurant. The view of Lake Tahoe is amazing. We especially liked the wait staff. Waiter Joe was so kind to run after me when I had left my purse in the restaurant.

Good menu and excellent location....main meals averaged over $20 so not the cheapest in Tahoe, but the food was great and a wide selection of wine....if warm enough get a table outside and enjoy the sunset....our waitress brought us blankets so we could stay out a little longer and watch the sunset...We would eat here again...

Good food and atmosphere. There are only 6 tables on the balcony so reserve early. The balcony faces the west so you can see the sunset over the west mountains. Stopped by for an early dinner. The restaurant about 25 percent full with mostly locals at the bar which is attached to the main dining area. The music from the stereo was blaring and it was a little hard to have a normal dinner conversation. We were seated at a table viewing the lake. There are tables inside and out.... More

They have a tiny little bar and restaurant in a beautiful location. We ordered our drinks and sat at the tables outside on the pier, what views! They have an interesting menu and the bartender pours a mean Neopolitan. I believe it is now called Boathouse On The Pier.
