Visited The Swan yesterday. There are new landlords and it seems to be going well. Excellent Tribute ale and the meal was very very good. Very friendly staff and knowledgeable. Will certainly go again and recommend if in the area

12 of us (3 families) ate at the Swan earlier this month, having previously sent a search party of 5 to sample the real ale. All the beers are very good but the Proper Job is excellent. We were welcomed back for a meal and the pub quiz. The food was good and not expensive (the Thai curry clears the...

read the reviews and they seemed an accurate desciption of the food/service. Good home cooked food.. I really enjoyed the burger. friendly staff .certainly a locals pub.. but we were made welcome
Homely atmosphere, roaring fire, great food with a smile. Lesley, the landlady, is friendly and welcoming and recognises us even though we are holiday makers. The fish and chips is superb and great value for money and Macolm's speciality Thai Chicken Curry is thoroughly recommended. Perfect location with views over the river. Will return.
Staying next to this pub on holiday means that we visit quite regularly. Good food, Tribute, Doom and Proper Job on tap, and a very attractive bar area. Friendly owners Malcolm and Lesley make this a very warm place to stop.
Fantastic winter walk followed by a warm welcome in a traditional pub. Friendly and relaxed staff, great Doombar and good value food. We will visit again.
This has always been my favorite pub for many years The location is absolutely beautiful .You can visit in all seasons and you will not be disappointed. In the summer its really lovely and relaxing to sit outside and admire the view down the river and take in the beauty of the area. In the winter the pub has a...

A warm atmosphere, friendly staff (dogs welcome!) in a glorious setting on the river-front. Ideal for walkers, weekenders, families and locals alike. Frequent live music and other entertainment. The food is exactly as one would expect in a small pub. Not haute cuisine but then the prices are very reasonable. Sitting outside on a sunny day, overlooking at the river,...

As regular visitors from plymouth to the Swan Inn, we have always been warmly greeted and made to feel most welcome, something that you do not always feel....if not 'a local'. Food is great value for money, Ale is well kept and well priced. A great pub for either eating, drinking or both.
After a great Sunday walk in classic Devon countryside we stumbled across this fantastic friendly pub. A small pub with great views over the estuary and very friendly and helpful staff. Couldn't fault the food, real ales were well kept and service was top class. Will definitely be back sooner than later.
