LE BISTRO is a perfect gateway from the Vancouver downtown crowds and a place to relax and rejuvenate over an earthy meal and a local glass of wine. The food at LE BISTRO is carefully prepared by executive chef Gilles Deroff, originally from the Brittany area of France . His spicy bouillabaisse, paella, coq au vin, duck confit only to name a few are great attractions to LE BISTRO.Steamed Mussels with fries and Steak frites are Le bistro signature dishes.Much of the rest of his menu is more based on the local west coast British Columbia products: spotted prawns, Dungeness crab, Fraser valley vegetables and poultry.

If you like authentic French cuisine, go to her older sister restaurant, 'Chez Michel', at 14 Street and Marine Drive in West Vancouver. Good service and excellent food. Many authentic dishes. Make a reservation so as not to be disappointed!

My wife and I go sometimes, for a treat. Dinner will run over $100 for the two of us, but the food and atmosphere is worth it. We used to go out every week for good french food in Tokyo, missed it when we came to Vancouver. My 10 year got lucky and came with us once, she loved it... More

Really good food, service, atmosphere & view. You can also try Chez Michel in West Vancouver which as the name suggests is run by the same family

If I ever get interviewed for the best thing I ever ate- it would be the mushroom risotto at Chez Michel. I attended a club meeting dinner there in October, and was very excited as Chez Michel is one of my favourite restaurants. Unfortunately, I had had dental surgery the week before and could only eat very soft foods. The... More

If you are like us - love good food with casual atmosphere and inexpensive pricing - Le Bistro is highly recommended. I kind of hesitated to pick this restaurant while our recent visit in North Vancouver, because some of the previous reviews were not that great. However, I like French cuisine and Le Bistro's menu was pretty appetizing, so I... More

We rented the whole restaurant out for a private function ( a celebration of life). Initially we considered the Holiday Inn by the second narrows bridge - it was booked up and they recommended Le Bistro Chez Michel. It turned out to be perfect for us. We booked it for a Saturday from noon to 4 and there was no... More

We recently attended for dinner with a small group. I have to say that the waitress was very pleasant and attentive. Too bad the food was a severe disappointment, and expensive for what was presented. My spouse and I each ordered a seafood dish (different items). I received a platter with a pile of bland overcooked veggies upon which a... More

We went on a weekday for lunch to celebrate a friend's birthday. We called ahead as the friend is wheelchair-bound and we needed to see if the restaurant is accessible. There is an elevator and the employee met us to allow us to use the elevator. We were seated at a window table with a very nice view. We ordered... More

Went over to North Vancouver and the market which is better than Granville island market and had a super Brunch of eggs Benny in the Bistro. The view is super and the food excellent with good BC wines also. Well worth the trip on the Sea Bus.
