While the coffee was good, it was a bit spendy. The waitress saw me later in the afternoon skiing and recalled my coffee order albeit incorrectly. What she forgot was the they discount us dollars by 10% so $10 US is $9 Canadian. When I noted the exchange rate was 2% that day, she and the manager replied , "Well... More

They make the prettiest lattes in town. It is a different crowd than Oso and their coffee is good. In summer, you can sit outside and people watch. Give it a whirl

Stopped there for a coffee. It was great and the coffee refill only costs 1CAD. The scones are very delicious. The one with two kinds of berries costs 2.5 CAD, but it's worth it.

Well, they do have the New Yorker magazine in the rack, which is enough to pull me into any small town cafe. However, the quality of the coffee, the small but good array of food and the warmth of the owner and her staff would pull me in even if all I could browse was boring MacLean's magazine.

One of the trendy Vancouver wannabe cafes - grilled sandwiches don't quite rate the $7. price tag and although they have "wireless internet"... good luck getting it to work. But, the coffee was good.

Great coffee shop in Nelson, it was one of the smoothest tasting capps I had on my travels thru BC. The barrista's seem very well trained & its not all about the big big sizes but definitely about the consitency of taste & atmosphere....I felt like I was in europe when I stopped into John Ward. Great people watching and... More

Cool atmosphere with a nice view of Ward and Baker Street. The aroma from the organic coffee drifted out onto the street and drew us in. The setting area was clean and comfortable. I was delighted to see some raw food treats offered along with traditional pastries. The coffee was served in charming porcelain cups.
