If you like a great coffee and a robust sandwich that tastes like it was made at home - this place is for you. The place is really small (as the title suggests), and can get packed especially during for the lunch hour, but that is the sign of recognition. In summer there is a few seats outside available. Also... More

Edgar is not to be missed. Went for brunch and loved it. Menu is small (brunch had only 3 choices) but boy, does it ever pack a tasty punch. Seating is very limited both inside and out. So depending on timing, you could be waiting first for a table and then for your food (understandably as kitchen is also tiny... More

Located across the bridge in Gatineau, Chez Edgar and its menu are very small, but definitely worth a visit. There were about 3 sandwiches on the menu, that I was told changes daily. Plus, there were some other entrees you could order, but its the sandwiches that deserve all the buzz! Sandwiches are prepared i the morning, so I suggest... More

It is the smallest restaurant i've ever been to but certainly one of the best brunch.Staff is friendly.Food is original, super fresh and so delicious.Excellent coffee, the barista knows her stuff. There is a terrace outside so there is a little bit more sitting places when weather is warm, otherwise there is a table for 3,a counter with 4 stools and 2 tables for... Small, tight and crowded. The food was so good that I would rub elbows every morning to eat there if I could. When people love to cook each bite tells so. A gem in a urban French-Canadian neighbourhood. If you want a great breakfast and a cultural experience you must go.

Great soup! Great sandwich!!! Great frozen meals to take home or to the cottage... Unfortunately, as is often the case these days, the radio was blaring much too loudly...

The creativity is excellent. I recommend the boucheron to anybody. The Dutch baby is also excellent. You can tell that there is love in the food .

Thanks Tripadvisor for helping us find another gem. For our first visit to Ottawa, we wanted to really find something local. Downtown Ottawa is filled with chains and the usual tourist traps. Thanks to Tripadvisor, we learned about Chez Edgar and headed over for a late brunch. The place is small (seats about 12 people) and non-descript on the outside,... More

This place has the worst hours, they are never open. I have tried on several occasions to eat here, get a coffee here, just get in the door, but The hours seem to only accommodate the owners?? Once I did manage to find it open, but they informed us they would be closing in 45 min?? Lame if you ask... More

I met a friend at that restaurant for brunch. The food was very good, tasty, and a good size plate. I will definitely go back.
