Found this place by accident. So glad we did. The atmosphere is amazing you feel more like old friends than brand new customers. Had a selection of the beers all of which are lovely and very reasonably priced. Haven't tried the food yet, but looked and smelled beautiful. Very much looking forward to trying when we come back next month.... More

Under new management. Dan and Bex have done a sterling job so far and I wish them every success in the future. Good food in a great atmosphere. I will make it my 1st stop next time I'm in Newquay.

Just went for a meal at The Dolphin to celebrate my friend's bday and we werent sure about it as the management has changed and looked different than last year but, as we arrived the very friendly staff welcome us and had a nice and "like" private table. The food was really tasty. Cant wait to go again when it... More

Enjoyed two beautiful meals out in Newquay during our visit and both were at spent at this restaurant. Not to discredit the other great eateries which i'm sure are there, but we were very lucky to have found one of the finer, if not the finest. Our first impression of the place was based on our waiter who was extremely... More

Came across the restaurant by chance. Only operating for a couple of weeks so still settling in but the scallops were the biggest ever. Soups were great. Small but excellent wine list. Generous servings too. So impressed went back for our second night in Newquay and took friends so tried more of the choices and again all rated it highly.... More

Popped in for a quick pint and investigation of the dolphin. When I found a well presented venue that seems to keep growing as you walk round but without feeling big.menu looks good I'm sure to take the misses there soon. As I'm sure it won't be long till the word gets out.

The locals told us about the Dolphin, so we decided to try it. The decor is dark and could do with a good clean, some new carpets and better lighting. As mentioned in other reviews, the tables were a bit sticky but easily fixed. The starters were divine - mine were scallops, hers were mussels. Both cooked excellently and beautifully... More

I visited with my partner after hearing some positive reviews.... Sadly, our initial impressions weren't good. The tables felt as if they hadn't been wiped down properly - we almost didn't stay to order but our waiter was friendly and helpful and we decided to overlook the sticky table. We were pleased when our starters arrived as they were both... More

I have eaten twice now at the dolphin, both times very good food and service. Good menu, a little expensive but you get what you pay for! Thanks guys. Will be back.
