The chef is a God and I worship at his table. I'm becoming quite devout. I've nothing more to say about but this review requires that I add 100 characters min. Oh, the roast pork is insanely good.

I can't stress enough how the roasts are so delish!! We stumbled upon this little gem last Sunday..I opted for the pork belly and wow, never have I been so taken with such a roast! In fact, taken to the point of asking the chef to marry me! We will be making Hop Poles our Sunday pad for the foreseeable!!... More

Me the wife and our two boys aged 1&3 popped in for Sunday lunch and we was greeted by friendly staff and shown to our seats where our drinks order was taken and left to ponder menu, I went for the slow roasted pork belly and have to say it was quite possibly one of the best bits of pork... More

Having eaten here dozens and dozens of times over the years i was pleased to see the Hop Poles return after a brief change. This is a really nice pub and always friendly. The food has always been excellent and is always a popular choice. The menu is a lot smaller than in recent years, but then it was quite... More

I popped into Brighton last week to buy me a new pair of cowboy boots only to discover, sadly, that my old feet are no longer suited to the pointy toed style. Wandered rather dejectedly down through the North Lanes and into Middle Street and into a public house named, rather curiously, Hop Poles. Far from bright lights and fruit... More

Situated close to our B&B so called in for a Pint and meal. Had a good range of beers on tap.The food was of very good quality as was the service. Although the weather was cool their small beer garden was heated and cosy. Our visits to The Hop Poles during our short stay in Brighton was very pleasant and... More

We went to the the Hop Poles for a quick lunch, because we were hungry, and to get out of the bitter cold. A warm welcome from a friendly bar-person greeted us, and we knew we had chosen well, especially after tasting their well-kept beer. The service was also very efficient, and our chosen meals arrived quickly. I was especially... More

I went to The Hop Poles with a veggie friend and was thrilled to find beer battered halloumi and chips on the menu - what's not to like about deep fried cheese?! However, when it arrived it was a measly portion - the mushy peas were served in what looked like a pinch pot, the halloumi slice was pretty skinny... More
