Four of us ordered the special menu of two mains and a bottle of wine for £29 and every meal was overcooked. The cook wasn't busy as there were only three other couples who had already been served when we ordered. Very disappointing and we won't go back even though it's within walking distance of our home.

My partner and I visited Marshmallow on a quiet Thursday afternoon, so quiet in fact that we were the only people in the place. We asked to sit at a window table but were told we couldn't "in case we get a rush on". Now admittedly it was a table for four and we were only two, but the likelihood... More

Warm welcome on a rainy, cold morning. Ordered a veggie breakfast and expected everything except the meat and was presented with veggie sausage too which was very thoughtful as they weren't on the menu. Cooked to perfection and thoroughly enjoyed. The young waitress was very pleasant and obliging. Very pretty little place with exceptional food and service. Highly recommend.

Hardly surprising that we were the only people eating that evening- the rain was pouring down and it was less than warm outside. But we were given a warm welcome by the friendly owners. The menu was varied and gave a hint of the owner chef's previous work. The salmon terrine and mackerel pate were delicious as were the liver... More

Weekday lunch and after looking at lots of 'menu's' in other establishments decided to go here as menu seemed varied and not too expensive for such a tourist area. Greeting was warm, service excellent and good variety of cooked lunches available. That is what we wanted on a cold day. It didn't disappoint and the fact my wife has a... More

I visited the tearoom a number of times. it used to be lovely and the greetings were very nice. Its a shame to see that some of the waitresses don't seem to be there anymore. The cream teas were very nice, but it is unfortunate and odd that they never have any of there house tea to purchase. When i... More

On coach trip, rang at 1030am for Sunday lunch. Told fully booked but offered 1.30pm table for 4. We were welcomed, with a full & busy restaurant. Had 2 courses from a very varied menu. The meal's were served quickly, the pork was delicious and steak & kidney suet pudding was great. Together with a bottle of wine. The desserts... More

Another day in Moreton ! & why not. All six of us walked into a lovely small tea room we were made very welcombe , the staff (waitresses) were again lovely and so polite "Sorry to say not like some of the HIGH STREET HOTELS in Moreton" well what can i say we ordered and the food was "truly scrumptious"... The food was OK - we had one of the Sunday lunch options. Not all was available although to be fair it was after 2 on Sunday afternoon. The waitresses were just strange. I'm guessing they were either very new or that the gene pool in Moreton is a bit shallow. Nice enough traditional English food, but if you want... More

On a recent tour of the Cotswold's we came across "The Marshmallow", we received a lovely welcome on entering, our pretty blonde waitress was very attentive and looked after us well. The scones are enormous, certainly the best we've had anywhere. Very pretty setting and good choice of menu will call again when back in the area :)
