My wife and I arrived 30 minutes early and took a walk around Keswick until 7pm when we were booked in. The BB doesn't look much from the outside and the restaurant is were guests eat breakfast I would guess but they do make it look nice and authentic. All the food on the menu looked great so we decided... More

We went to this restaurant based on TripAdvisor ratings and were not disappointed. We are massive fans of Thai Food and have to say it is one of the best thai restaurants we have been to in the UK - I definitely recommend the fish fillet with spicy pineapply sauce. We also had the duck curry which was great, finished... More

As another reviewer mentioned, it is slightly odd to eat in the front room of a b&b, and I think unless it is full, it is a very quiet dining experience lacking atmosphere (we ended up whispering as it wasn't busy). However, the food is good, very fresh, and the service excellent. Not many options for vegetarians. It is expensive... More

If you are coming to Keswick you HAVE to visit this place! I am local and come here every couple of months as a treat! Their food is brilliant, cheese and potato cakes then red duck curry for me! Not only is their food great, they are such lovely, down to earth people. You will not find a better place... More

We dined here during a recent stay at shemara guest house, we have enjoyed the incredible food, courtesy of fon and Richard on a few previous visits and we're excited at the prospect of eating here again. Well as expected we were not disappointed, the food, and attentive service was flawless!. Our starters, my crabcakes, with sweet chili dipping sauce... More

The new decor and fire at shemara makes the whole thai meal experience even more special.I had the tom yam goong and my wife had spicy thai meat balls to start, both were authentic and tasty then I had massive jumbo sticky prawns and my wife had whole baked fish with chilli pineapple,to die for.We finished off with filled rice... I go to the Shemara Guest House and their evening restaurant on a regular baisis throughout the year. I was lucky enough to go there again for two nights at the weekend coming home yesterday. The food was at the usual very high standard as was the service, as I would expect. Added to this the restaurant has been redecorated... More

We ate here after finding this place on Tripadvisor. Brilliant reviews so thought we would give it a go. Beautiful food, fresh, tasty, colourful and good value. We had Thai meat balls and spring rolls to start then for main noodles with pork and prawns. All the food was cooked perfectly and presented beautifully. Its a small restaurant in a... More

We decided to go to A Taste of Thailand because of the Tripadvisor recommendations, and were not disappointed. As regular visitors to Keswick (we own a cottage in Borrowdale) we know many of the restaurants in town, but not this one: we can easily see why it is so highly rated. For our family of five, including one vegetarian, we... More
