Description: Locals in the know will tell you that Thai Dream is one of the last authentic, family-run Thai restaurants in Bloomsbury. The friendly neighbourhood vibe, down-to-earth dining room and attentive service make this place a must-eat destination for true fans of Thai cuisine, and the restaurant is always filled with busy business types during the day and locals in the evenings. The simple, recently refurbished dining room is decorated with magnolia walls and wood panelling, and the staff here are happy to help you navigate the traditional Thai menu which includes everything from classics such as the Forget Me Not green curry to the Pad Gra Praw chicken stir-fried with chillies and basil leaves.

I agree with many of the other reviewers. This is a great find tucked away from the main drag. We went based on the reviews and were not disappointed. Our family of 4 had 4 starters, 2 soups, and 3 mains plus drinks for £71 -- very reasonable and good tasting. The decor is nothing fancy; the main room had... More

This restaurant on New North Street off of Theobalds Road in Bloomsbury is very good. Large menu with good variety. Friendly staff. All our meals were very good. Not very busy on a week night.

We went to Thai Dream on he strength of the Tripadvisor reviews and we were glad we did as the food was absolutely gorgeous and freshly prepared. It was a little further from Drury Lane (we were going to the theatre) than we realised so it was a bit of a schlep to get there on time ( the restaurant... More

Don't be put off by the Google Maps walking route, just turn left up the first passageway on Boswell Street to find the Thai Dream, a small, family run restaurant. Excellent food, good, friendly service with very reasonable prices and a good and reasonably priced wine list. You won't come across it accidentally due to its location off the standard... More

We ate here a couple of weeks ago when we first arrived in London as we were staying in the West End. On our return to London on our way home we looked forward to eating here again. Mr Leepermphan and his family did not disappoint, the entree and main were authentic and delicious, and the Singa's were awesome. Thanks... More

Absolutely authentic thai food in London that the locals know about. Lovely family run restaurant that is also very family friendly. We had a lovely meal and chatted with the owner and his son. The wine selection is also excellent with many thai/asian wines on the menu. Not on any main restaurant strips but the locals know where this gem... More

Food was delicious, simple and arrived quickly. The menu is easy to choose from, with express menus making ordering much easier. The portion sizes are very generous and the food itself is very flavoursome and typically Thai. Being able to pay by card is a big plus, as many Thai restaurants are cash only. Extremely good value for money despite... More

If you like: 1) a choice of more than a couple of wines (and ideally over £14 a bottle) 2) the sort of place where the barman/waiter isn't helping his laughing 6 year-old relative to practice handwriting at the bar 3) somewhere where the person cooking the food doesn't bring it to your table in person when its ready 4)...
