the promenarde gives you a wow as you walk in , but then you realise its not that big and is more a hall way space but its nice should be experenced afternoon tea is nice there

I booked afternoon tea at the Dorchester to celebrate our 39th wedding anniversary, we were not disappointed.
We opted for the Champagne Tea.
The Dorchester is pure luxury through and through.

I was looking forward to afternoon tea as a birthday treat. I was so disappointed. The small sandwiches were just ok, I liked the scones, you get two smallish scones, 1 fruit and 1 plain, with jam and clotted cream. The black currant jam was lovely. This place is the real heart of the Dorchester. High prices for unexciting food. Wonderful people-watching pretty much all day and night. This is our second visit to the Dorchester for tea and it is as good as ever. Calm, unhurried service in beautiful surroundings (flower displays are incredible) and a selection of finger sandwiches, cakes and scones plus a selection of teas of course made for a great hour and a half that passed in double quick time.

The promenade at the Dorchester is one of the musts if you are staying in London and are looking for proper British High Tea. Not only are the surroundings extremely lush but the service is impeccable as well. Try not to miss it when you are in town and DO reserve places during High Tea are extremely limited!
