Good food and good value for this area of London. Very busy on match days for Chelsea and Fulham, but a good atmosphere. Toilet facilities could do with a bit of attention!
This is a typical neighborhood pub with English guys talking soccer matches. Comfortable and cozy. Good hot mulled cider with beer choices on tap. I could have done without the guy kissing his girlfriend while his pants were falling down, but as I said, it's a local pub.
Last time i walked in this place was 20 yrs ago when you went in a pub for a drink ,anyway staying over the rd wanted to revisit, walked in and it was empty ,thought oh dear anyway sat down to eat partner had the welsh squid to start and it was lovely , she had the chicken and leek... More
It is a pub & a dining room!! High ceilinged, light and airy it is decorated in the slightly faded shabby chic? style. As to the Pub they carry a great range of beers, and have a reasonable wine offer. On the food side they offer trad pub nosh, plus restaurant type food for those of a more delicate nature,... More
Was staying at the Wyndham Hotel (100 metres away) and visited the pub for a drink and late dinner. For a local pub that is also near a large hotel, this is a good pick and I would certainly return if in the area again. Pros: Good friendly atmosphere Service in restaurant area was very good Dogs can come in... More
Been here a couple of times now for Sunday lunch and has been really good both times. The beef is cooked how you like it and the pork belly was delicious. Nice atmosphere too and has real ale and good wine list.
cosy retreat, very short walk from the Chelsea, aussie beer on tap, friendly barmen, food was typical pub fare but quite acceptable.not really on the tourist track though.
Wednesday night. 7 PM. Raining in sheets. Looking for a temporary hideout. I enter the bar which is booming with people. The atmosphere is really great. The waiters are awesome: the very second I turned up they presented themselves offering their service and explaining how it all works here. Liked it. When the food arrived, I was expecting something bit... More
My friend and I came here for a few drinks as we didn't really want to get on the tube (we'd had a long journey) It was such a lovely atmosphere and the staff were talkative, enthusiastic and everyone that came in left with a smile on their face, including us!
This is a pretty pub in a difficult location, as it is not really anywhere you would happen to walk by...my assumption is that it is mostly for the residents of the area. But what a great litte pub! Nice and welcoming decor, an even better service and - while the menu is not overly creative - the quality of... More
