We have eaten here many times and have always had good value/friendly staff/good food. Last week the 8oz rump steaks were rather tough even though cooked to our specification, so mentioned to waiter--and word back from the chef not only replacing steak but upgrading to 12oz rib-eye which was fabulous. Well done to all for exceptional customer service--and now we... More

Our 2nd visit to The Cathedral Hotel for lunch whilst in Salisbury and today's visit was as good as we recalled the first being. We met friends for a lunchtime catch up and this was a brilliant venue. On arrival, a minor bar issue (dirty glass) was rectified immediately and without question. A good choice of meals on the menus,... More

I have dined here 3 times now, and every time has been excellent. I am a 'pescatarian', so limited to some dishes, but there was still quite a few dishes for me to choose from. The food is always delicious, extremely flavoursome and cooked perfectly. The staff are also very friendly. The bar/night life is great too, with a great... More

In Salisbury for the day and found this place, several offers attracted us eg: coffee and muffins or cake, main meal discounts for seniors. Very good service given by 'The boss' and Ashley, friendly and quick. I had ham egg & chips, wiltshire ham was lovely, 2 eggs and good chips, good portions and hot. Would definately re visit.

This place certainly doesn't deserve a scathing review, just an average one. The food wont blow you away but it is pretty inexpensive and so is therefore reasonably priced. A good place to pop in for a cheap lunch if you want to avoid one of the chain pubs (Whetherspoons, Slugs...) and the customers that frequent them! Positive points include... More
