Visited here to sit out in the beer garden and enjoy a Sunday carvery. Kids enjoyed playing in the large enclosed garden. We all ate there and enjoyed our dinner. Choice of lamb, beef or pork, homemade Yorkshire puddings and plenty of fresh veg and roast potatoes and parsnips. Good value family pub.

I love this place when I go but because the menu is fairly simple and small you do have to be in the mood to come here as it does get a bit boring if you go there too much!
Lovely looking pub that is well kept and well managed. Food is fantastic I had the mixed grill and it was great and the portions are on the large side and the bill was very reasonable. Word of advise you will need to book at weekend and bank holidays as they are always busy.
Travelling in business in that area, I had looked it up beforehand on Tripadvisor. Slightly daunted by rather shabby external appearance esp as woman on her own. However inside v pleasant, staff welcoming, toilets clean (!), and the best hot beef baguette I have ever eaten in my life with crisp fresh salad. Will definitely return if in area again.
